I think that every place (town , city ......etc) has a nice place such as park , lack , sea which you can spend some time alone to relax even you can use the house or the building roof at sunset time or at the night
I am a restless person that lives in a non stop city, and till a short time did not realize that stress was eating me up. It only was my way to concern about all... and the anxiety made me go to the physiotherapist once a month with 22 years.
Then I started Tai Chi, and my professor told me to slow down and calm my inner self, and I took conscience about the tension that surround all my body and the importance of breathing... and breathe properly.
For me it is essential to hold a good back position in meditation. Meanwhile we start the deep breathing, it is good to make your upper abdomen more taut (tense) for a few second, and relax it. Repeat along the meditation and your low back would feel less tired and your breathing deeper. And it would be easier to keep the posture straight.
Have a nice meditation!

And also...There are a lot of information from specialists if you want to research:
Some examples...
General Breathing Techniques (http://www.livestrong.com/article/113103-exercises-strengthen-diaphragm-abdominal/)
Increase your breathing effectiveness to provide an overall benefit to your strengthening efforts. The bellows technique is a quick puff-type breathing in and out through the nose. Do this while sitting down, but stop if you get lightheaded as you may promote hyperventilation. The University of Missouri-Kansas recommends the Chinese technique where three short breaths are taken through the nose, without exhaling. With each inhalation your arms raise, and then are lowered to your sides with exhalation. This exercise should also be performed sitting down. Another breathing control and strengthening exercise involves taking a deep breath and humming for as long as you can with exhalation, squeezing every ounce of breath out.

Of course, I live in a beautiful city with lot of gardens where I can rest. Now I see them in other way and I can disconnect and search there for inner peace.
Thanks and peace :)
