Peace Revolution At The 2012 Annual Gathering Of Northwest Dharma Conference

On March 17, 2012, Peace Revolution President Sith Chaisurote presented the Peace Revolution project to an audience at the Annual Gathering of the Northwest Dharma Conference in Seattle. The topic of the conference was Buddhist Practice and Social Transformation.

Sith first described the Peace Revolution online components, which include the self-development tools and then inner peace time, as well as the offline components of the Peace Revolution Fellowship and the Peace Revolution On-Demand program. Then he gave a short lecture on the topic of self-development based on habit formation in the “Five Rooms”, a topic with which peace rebels at the fellowship were familiar.

In the afternoon, Sith joined a panel discussion on the topic of social transformation. He emphasized the need for individuals to improve themselves and become role models for others before starting to change the society and the world. At the end of the conference, he also led the group to join in the Inner Peace Time.

Sith was very inspiring. After hearing his talk, I became a Peace Rebel. Halfway through the first program, I can really tell a change is occurring in my life. I want to be a rebel: One who reacts with peace, loving kindness and compassion in the face of all life throws our way. PIPO, my Dharma brothers and sisters!
