My parents, are, and always will be artists. I have always admired their artistic nature and vivid imaginations. The way in which they envisage their works and then create them is truly extraordinary. I hold great admiration for the way they inspire and arouse feelings from others with their pieces.
When I was a child, I would always try to imitate them but wasn't blessed with the same artistic talents. My imagination was limited and the capacity to create things with my hands was beyond me. However, one thing was very clear: I wanted to dedicate my life to something that would stimulate feelings and sensations in others, just as my parents did.
Although I wanted this from life, I never found a way to achieve it. I didn't know where to start. I wanted my life to be something other than a chain of minor daily events. Unlike my parents, I couldn't create or invent so what could I do to affect others in such a positive manner?
My time in the retreat anctuary has literally changed my life. I have visited heaven on earth and immersed myself in a jungle island that creates only moments of beauty.
I’ve also travelled to the paradise inside myself, thanks to the magisteral teachings of the monks and the beautiful people I met on the island. I will never be able to show enough gratitude to all those that have helped along my inner journey.
