“Every two days now we create as much information as we did from the dawn of civilization up until 2003.”, says Google CEO, Eric Schmidt.

This development is important for human consideration. What has more knowledge brought us? How does information at our finger tips affected our mind, and our world? What kind of knowledge do we need in order to make a world at peace?

One young peace agent from Colombia believes that inside his mind there is power, a super power. Francisco Jose Cordoba Otalora was selected to participate in the December 2011 Peace Revolution ‘Global Peace on the Move’ Fellowship in Thailand. There he learnt from where the mind derives its power: the center of the body. Ever since then he’s been practicing to connect the mind with the center.

Now, he and three of his friends organized PIPO on Demand in Bogota Colombia, to share a new kind of information. Not information that gives us knowledge of the world outside, but information that gives us knowledge of the world within us, a way that we can ‘know ourselves’ and a way that brings peace to the world – i.e. the knowledge of the power of the mind.

Following the trip to Bolivia, Peace Revolution travelled to Colombia from 14-18 May 2012 to share the concept of “Paz Interior + Paz Exterior” (Peace In, Peace Out - or PIPO) and host workshops to discover the power of the mind The first day brought the team of Colombians and Peace Revolution crew to Los Libertadores University, where they had a chance to hear from the dean and rector of the university. Following his speech was a presentation by Francisco about PIPO in Colombia, and a meditation session lead by the teaching monk.

Cristian Davial Castillo Castro, a psychologist, said “I liked the concept in the presentation of not having to wait for things on the outside to transform yourself. You can transform yourself from the inside, then to the outside. It is like giving to the world from yourself. I like it. First in, then out. “ At the Cooperativa del Magisterio or CODEMA for short, meaning Cooperative Teaching, Naome Pance, a journalist, shares her feeling about Peace Revolution visiting Colombia.

“Having Peace Revolution in Colombia is truly a very meaningful opportunity. Because with this tour, and other previous events, a new kind of consciousness is created, and people are getting interested in something they didn’t previously know about, or didn’t have the chance to know about.”

He had a profound meditation experience, “Usually when I practice meditation I use visualization, I focus on an object. This time it was deeper inside of me, this sphere full of energy comes from the center and radiates strength, inner peace and calm. It allows you to do it from the inside out, and that is remarkable. I practice other kinds of meditation that leads you to feel like you are out of the world. But this time it felt so personal. Everything was inside of me. This was different, like a new lesson from this practice.”

The practice of inner peace should ideally start at an early age. The students of the Juan Ramon Jimenez School were open and enthusiastic about practicing meditation, and showed a deep sense wisdom already at this age. It shows that they understand the world they are living in and how they want it to change.

“Nowadays people look for happiness in things, stuff and money, how much do we have to buy things?” says one of the students, “But nobody really wonders if happiness is something we can attain by ourselves. These are the things we have to share. In the end, if we all know about meditation, we would have an amazing tool to know ourselves better.”

At Bora Bora Hall, Paola Molina Nicholls talked about the “revolución real” or true revolution, “Nowadays with the excessive work, media, the fast changing world, we are not allowed to be aware of our bodies, about ourselves and that we are building our reality. Meditation is the chance to come back to ourselves, and discover that we own this present moment. I think meditation is a great way to start a true revolution.”

Following the visit to the Universidad el Bosque, Peace Revolution and the Colombian Peace Agents settled at Los Novios Park, which is known to the locals as the park next to the lake. The outdoor meditation allowed the meditators to let their body merge with nature and the tranquil lake creates the perfect atmosphere for stilling the mind.

And the last visit for team was JKD Studio where students usually come to train in martial arts. Meditation practice is important for refined body training, today the members of this studio will learn about “centering the mind”. Carlos Andres Agudelo the Judo Sensei, and teacher at the studio said, “Meditation is for changing yourself. Because every day we need to be better people. We have to serve all the time, be very awake. Be present and live day by day. In the past there is nothing, tomorrow we don’t know yet. So the only choice we have is to live today. And that is what meditation taught me.”

In three days with the help of four peace agents, Peace Revolution was able to touch the minds of 541 people, and allow them to discover the super power within.

Francisco says, “When you looked the faces of the people after their meditation, when you talked with them, you understood something started to transform in their lives.”

To change the world, all we need to do is Change our Mind.
